Democrat Schakowsky Needs To Go Back To The Trough!

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted "tea party" protests yesterday, labeling the activities "despicable" and shameful."
"The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs," Schakowsky said in a statement.
"It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt," she added. "Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”
This is the strongest language to date opposing the protesters, which, according to some estimates , topped 250,000 across the country.
I will guarantee tea you that this sow, voted for EVERY single one of the stimulus packages and after some more research we will divulge how many "pork" projects she is involved in!
To have a people's representative speak of American citizens who are exercising their RIGHT to free speech and public assembly in this matter is unbelievable! It is time for the people of Illinois to put this sow back in whatever trough she came from! Obviously, she does not understand the Constitution of the United States well enough to hold office!

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Benjamin Franklin

According to the Citizens Against Government Waste, the state which received most pork per capita is Alaska and the person who requested the most overall earmark requests in the Senate is Republican Thad Cochran of Mississippi, who along with his fellow senator, Roger Wicker, brought home more than $1 billion in government cash for their state.

I'm sure if the citizens of Illinois' Ninth District object to her remarks, they will vote for someone else next year. But since her District voted 72 percent in favor of Presiedent Obama, I would imagine many of them agree with her thinking and she is reflecting the people who elected her

These Tax Revolt Tea Parties were really a misnomer! There is definably greed in ALL parties of this nation coming out of Washington! That is why these Tea Parties were Democrat,Republican,Libertarian,Conservatives ALL speaking up against spending, pork, immigration and yes taxes! It was much, much more than taxes!

People are tired of Washington politics period. Tired of the lies from both parties, tired of the endless spending that will ruin our children's futures, and tired of the same old political games in Washington!

These parties were not the end, they are the beginning!

I am sure that there were people there who sincerely believe that both parties are guilty of playing the same old political games, a viewpoint I share. But a great deal of the coverage I saw was simply anti-Obama people using the tea parties as an opportunity to accuse him of everything from being Muslim to a socialist.

If those putting the tea parties together are sincere in wanting this to be a bipartisan effort to stop the greed and waste, they need to do a better job of reaching across the political spectrum. It's too easy for the Republicans and Democrats to stand in their respective corners and throw mud at each other instead of extending their hands to work on pocketbook issues which we can agree upon, instead of getting bogged down in social issues such as abortion and gay marriage

While I know you and I disagree on many things, I believe we both sincerely want what is best for the next generation and there needs to be a dialogue on how to do this instead of name-calling, which both sides engage in too often

Helping a good business get better

Jan Schakowsky is dead wrong on too many counts to enumerate here. There is nothing despicable and shameful about peaceful protest. If Jan wants to talk about despicable and shameful how about Garofolo's obscene comments.

Party affiliations aside since both parties are to blame for the terrible mess that we are in, the problem is that we do not have good government and we have been losing our freedoms for many years.  It is now at a critical stage. Do we really want a government controlled Socialistic type system? I think not but this is the direction that we are headed. 1 Tea party is not enough. These must continue and more importantly is for you to call your representatives (use local numbers & not DC numbers which don't answer) and tell them that will stop waste, corruption and self dealing or the are OUT!

Also there is a new site: ThrowtheRascalsOut.org which you should look at.

If people fear the goverment, that's tyranny; if  the government fears the people, that's liberty...Thomas Jefferson

It doesn't matter which State or party obtained or requested the most "pork" that's not the point. This is business as usual in Washington for both parties, this is the point! We the people are tired of it. Ignorance has become a virtue in our society. Our so-called Representatives don't represent anyone but themselves and the political machine that put them there in the first place. They say anything to get elected then once there, follow the party line as laid out by the special interest groups who paid their nut. The sad people of this woman's 9th District probably believe she listens to them, Hah!

When we as the voting public stop taking political sides and pointing fingers at each other and wake-up and smell the roses we will see that neither party represents the interests and sentiments of the people. We need to point the collective finger at them and stop bickering amongst ourselves, which only serves their purpose!

Instead of reacting to which party is doing what, we need to look at what they are both doing to our Country. Do you seriously believe that 95% of America is going to get a tax cut? That is illogical and a blatant lie! 95% of Americans don't even pay taxes or work for that matter! Stop listening to the rhetoric and use your common sense for God's sake! Obama is going to create 3.5 million jobs. No kidding? And just how does he propose to do that? "Green jobs"? What's going to happen to all those people that work in the coal and oil industry? That fact is that for every "Green job" created, 2 people will lose their jobs!! Right now 90% of the mechanics and technology for "Green power" is French, German and Dutch! So is he going to create 3.5 million jobs for Americans or Europeans? We are presently losing over 600,000 jobs a month and over 6 million Americans are collecting unemployment, that does not include those who are not on it anymore and those that are underemployed. So lets say he is able to create 3.5 million jobs, that would still leave 2.5 million people still out of work and add 3.5 million more to the public dole, meaning less people paying for more government. Does any of this make any sense? Obama's Press Secretary (read; political pimp) said that the $100,000 million that Obama wants to cut from the budget is "alot of money from where he comes from" but when asked about the $8 billion of earmarks and pork in the budget, just last month he said that "it wasn't a significant" amount of money given the size of the budget. WHAT?!? Isn't that "double speak"? So $100mil. is alot of money but $8 bil. isn't? Huh?

Does it occur to anyone that 90% of our elected Fed. Government are lawyers. Isn't it a conflict of interest for a group to make laws that will directly benefit them? There is a thing called the "Stark Amendment" that does not allow a Doctor to own a clinic or lab that he refers patients to. So why do lawyers get away with it? A lawyer's job is to convince someone else of a position regardless of whether it is their belief or not. Does this sound familiar? Isn't this a politician? They stare straight into your eyes and lie! In the words of that great American, Earl Pitts, "Wake Up America"!
