Dell Inspiron 1525 battery will not charge

Dell Inspiron 1525 battery will not charge,I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. Right now I am able to run the laptop off a/c power through the power adaptor. The battery will not charge at all. Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing this? Should I invest in a new power adaptor?

your Dell Inspiron 1525 battery  might be dead or damaged, also check the Inspiron 1525 battery contacts to make sure that the battery is making solid contact with the pins on the laptop.

How long has your laptop battery been used?

Generally speaking, our laptop battery has 1 year life time. The battery capacity will drop to 50% after being used for 2 years.

Also there will be some reason that cause your  battery to the dead. Eg, you have used your battery life for long, but you did NOT charge it. In this case the battery could lose its activity.
