Delay in Pakistan election

Pakistan's election is likely to be

"delayed for a few weeks" due to violence after Benazir Bhutto's death.  Is Pervez Musharraf just trying to avoid the election?  Or is a postponement justified?

53 thumbs up

I think he's trying to let things calm down before the election. He knows that this assassination isn't good for him politically and he wanted to buy some time. In the end there won't be any way of avoiding the election unless he wants to portray himself as a dictator, an action I feel he's trying to stay away from.
