Defrosting turkey

I defrosted turkey this afternoon in water for 6 hours and put it back in fridge to cook in am. Is that ok

As long as the turkey has stayed thoroughly chilled the entire time, it should be fine. It's important that the interior temperature never rose above 40 degrees before you started roasting it.
