How to decorate for cancer fundraiser

In our Volunteer Patient Support Office there are 31 different types of cancer listed and the different colors for each. For our awareness activities, we suspend helium-filled balloons of these different colors and attach a tag of the cancer type to the string of balloons.

Depending on the square footage of the room, a few posters  relating to cancer can be placed around in the venue.  Balloons and the posters should be justenough so as not to  be overpowering 

On tables placed under the posters, arrange - in an attractive way - pamphlets,  brochures, and other informational materials that can be taken home by the  attendees/donors.

Is cancer the theme for the decorations?

You don't mention the venue at all.  Where is this happening, outdoors, in a hall, a school, theater, golf course, and so on?

Is it a formal event or casual one?  Will there be children in attendance?  Will there cancer survivors in attendance?  Will there be patients in attendance?  Is this an expensive affair, or a low budget project?

I need to know all of these things, and probably more, before I could start suggesting anything other than to surf the web for pictures of cancer benefits and see what other people did.
