Kelly your blog on table setting is corredt to the point of the knife. you placedthe knife to the right of the plate however you want to always make sure that the serrated edge faces aeay from the plate it is also asthetically more dimensional with the spoon to it's right. thanks

Unless the rules have changed, I believe any knife...serrated or NOT has its blade facing the dinner plate  ( so that you won't cut yourself)   JEC
