A debit card is used to pull money from an account (checking/savings) that you have funds in. A debit card is not used in your credit rating and will not let you spend more than what you have funds available in your account. These are a great idea for people that can not handle credit wisely.

A credit card is issued to you based on your credit score and financial responsibility. You will have to qualify and each one will have a set limit available to you. When applying for a credit card be sure to read the fine print to know what all the fees and APR will be.

It is best to use each one wisely.

Good luck and best wishes.
