Happiness is a choice. Choose to be happy.

A:

Purchases with your debit card are like paying with cash.  The money is immediately withdrawn from your checking account. No points are given with my bank but at least you are kept under control. You can't spend more money than you actually have.

Credit cards are like taking out a loan with a very high interest rate. If you can't afford to pay more than the minimum due each month, don't get a credit card. You could be paying for that big screen T.V. for the rest of your life. If you can afford it, it's a good way to boost your credit score which then enables you to obtain even more credit.  It's too easy to "charge it". Think about it long and hard and READ THE FINE PRINT for the interest rates, late fees, annual fees, cash advance fees, etc. before applying for credit. I learned the hard way and today, I only have 1 credit card with a very low limit. 99% of my purchases are with my debit card.  BE CAREFUL!
