Well  been a alcoholic or some times a alcoholic doesnt really make a different ,he needs to go  to aaa, if he is willing and stays with that  you might see how and if he can go forward , 95 procent of so called drinkers or alcoholics dont change ,they promise the world and never stick to it , believe me i know lived it ,,so if your smart  and your young move on there are many nice men around that love children may be thrue a good church group  you can get support , because really you should also  go  2 aaa so you know whats up, hope it helps ,god bless
