Deal or no Deal real phone?

Does the guy from Deal or no deal actually speak to a real person when the banker calls?

It would be too awkward for the host if the banker doesn't speak on the phone.. But I think the conversation is more of a chit-chat because I thought the amounts offered as an equivalent to revealed cases has already been calculated.

yes the guy's name is listed in the ending credits..it is a real person..check the executive producer.the guy's name is listed anyway..
