For legal reasons:  someone sues your company based on 8 years of information.   If you hit delete, how can you defend yourself?

For business decisions:  you want to launch a new service or tighten your supply chain...what are you going to base your decisions on.

Tax reasons:  The business gets audited. 

I could go on and on.

Enterprise Data Archiving achieves this by storing data in the less expensive Tier 2 storage system instead of Tier 1, which is the normal case. The advantage of Enterprise Data Archiving is that as the organization doesn’t need large data sets the IT costs decrease to a minimum.
