I already gave the double thumbs up to the answer preceeding this comment, but I'd like to add this brief thought.
I, for one, think that it's a very good sign when folks seek to accommodate themselves to the opinions of their fellow travelers. The broader our conception is of who comprises our fellows, the more we are bound to be doing that which is beautiful and just.
