I overheard two people talking on the bus this morning, and the woman said she was about to buy a 1991 Daihatsu Charade Diesel for 7500 NIS. I didn't know there were diesel cars this cheap in Israel, I thought all of them were much bigger and more expensive. Is someone trying to pull a trick on her, or could it be true?
Here is the ad for this specific car with the price of 7,500 NIS

Huh, cool! But it doesn't say anywhere that it's a diesel...
Not only that it doesn't state it's a diesel engine, the ad specifically states it's a normal gasoline engine (you can see it by clicking the "more info" link in the ad).
As far as I can remember, in 1991 it was illegal to import diesel cars to Israel unless to be used as taxis, and I don't think anyone would want a 1991 Charade as a taxi. So I'd say it's a mistake.
