DVD won't work with TV

My 5 year old RCA TV worked with DVD player. Then it stopped playing. It still received electricity, would open close, and give meassage, "Load" "root" etc,. but there was no picture, no sound. I tried using several different channel. It responded to none. After talking to someone I thought knew what he was talking about I decided My DVD was not working. I bought a new one and it behaves exactly the same way as the first one. Any suggestions?

2 thumbs up

Try plugging the DVD into another set of "in" jacks on the tv.  If that doesn't work, you'd be well advised to replace the tv.  An RCA tv is not likely to last more than 5 years, and new tv's are very inexpensive these days.
