I ordered a DVD-RW writer, and after a few days discovered that the store don't have the model I ordered in stock (I ordered LG GSA H10A). Instead of the missing model, the store offers me another model for the same price (Sony DWQ 120A), that can be shipped immediately. I compared the technical specs of the two models and discovered that the only difference is that the missing model supports DVD-RAM, and the replacement doesn't. The problem is, I don't know what DVD-RAM is, and how important it is to the common home-user. So the question is:
(1) What is DVD-RAM?
(2) Is it important to the home user?
(3) Should I accept the replacement, or wait for the original one to become available again?
