Hi Sugar! (. . .or should I call you Ms. Shack?)
Where and when is your event? What size is your booth? How do you plan to do the cake "walk"? I think it would be fun to do a giant papermache red hat to cover the booth: Use wire to make a sturdy frame, cover it with newsprint (you can find unprinted roll-ends for cheap-cheap at most printers or newspapers - just call them) that has been dipped in a flour-and-water paste. After you have the shape finished, spread a layer of the paste and apply pieces of red tissue paper (from a dollar store). You can seal it with a spray urethane after it dries, if you want. Then try a swath of purple netting or organza around the crown for a band or bow. More things could be made from the fabric: decorative swags across the front and sides of the booth, for instance. And, how about making tissue paper flowers (red, of course) to arrange into the number 25 on the back wall or front of the booth? You could also have crepe paper streamers hanging from beneath the hat. I have lots more ideas - I will watch this question and see if you have any other input. Let me know how its going!
