Cutting fabric squares

How to cut many 5" fabric squares at once for quilting? I have large cutting mat and ruler, but not sure how to fold  fabric.

First, Square off your fabric with the fold facing you.

Fold up the fabric once, smooth out the fabric and cut two 5" strips.  Stack the strips up. You will now have 8 layers of fabric.. Starting on the left side, cut 5" squares at once.  You must have a nice fresh blade in your roller cutter.

I usually do not cut nore than 8 layers at a time.
