How shall I cut down on my child's Television hours. I want him to play outdoors, while he may just sit in the living room and watch for hours. I'd like to encourage him to go outdoors and not force him.
make him to understand the importance of outdoor game rather then spoiling his eyesight and body by watching TV all the time.
You could have him join a local sports center where they offer activities for children. This is a fun way of detaching him from TV and providing an avenue for him to learn/practice a sport or activity while meeting children his own age. When at home, you two could practice these activities together and you can enjoy spending time with each other, saving his eyesight and on your electric bill:o)
I totally agree with Grace Henandez about having your child join a youth group that is active in sports or any other type of activity or hobby that exercises the mind and/or the body. Deep down I don't think he is happy spending all his time at the TV and after some persuasion would likely want to try a youth group. Distraction is probably the best way to get a youngster to make a change.
