Chilled cucumbers, a cold tea bag or gel eye masks help reduce puffiness a bit and are refreshing. When something swells, putting ice on the swelling is advisable and it's the same effect with eye puffiness, except  that placing a slice of chilled cucumber or a tea bag it's more soothing than an ice cube:o)

Always look your best because you never know who you're going to meet.

Two cool cucumber slices placed over your eyelids can constrict blood vessels because of their astringent properties, thus reducing puffiness.

In common parlance, acne occurs when the pores of the skin are blocked by natural oil produced by our bodies and dirt. This mostly occurs during the onset of puberty, as the hormones are developing and also occurs regularly in pregnant women.

There are various acne products available in the market. People are taking antibiotics as an acne treatment much more today than in the past. However what happens is that your body becomes resistant to them, thus eliminating antibiotics as the best acne treatment.

There are a number of ingredients that could fit into this category as there are numerous anti-inflammtory ingredients. These help to reduce the size and swelling of infected comedones. They are also usedful for scar prevention. We will list just a few of the most popular and most effective:

Vitamin C
Green Tea
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Algae Extract
There has been some confusion as to whether algae extract is an appropriate therapy for acne since it is listed on some lists as being very comedogenic and irritating. There are different types and different grades of algae. Most of the extracts found in acne formulations are forms of algae extract that have been tested and shown to be non-comedogenic and very gentle. Unless you have an allergy to marine plants, you should be safe.

Nicholas Perricone's controversial book The Acne Prescription proposes an alternative treatment for adult acne, including a strict diet (dairy is totally avoided in all but two recipes) and topicals containing alpha lipoic acid. Perricone's claims did not seem to be backed up by strong scientific evidence until the publication of the acne / milk link in early 2005. There are no double-blind studies proving the effectiveness of fatty acids against acne.

Popping a pimple or any physical acne treatment creates the risk of irritating the skin and spreading the infection deeper into the skin, which may cause permanent scarring.

Home remedies: Some people claim that several things in an average kitchen like nutmeg, honey, cinnamon, garlic, orange peel, sandalwood, etc can cure acne. None of these methods have been scientifically proven.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
