Crystal Chandeliers

I know the base of the chandelier should be 30" above the dining room table but the crystals hand lower than that...Is that a problem?

not for me.  my aunt had a chandelier that raised and lowered so it could be pulled down closer to the table for more light.  It never seemed to interfere with dinner even fairly low, beyond blocking your view of the people across the table.   If you can view the people sitting around the table without obstruction, there is no problem.

4 thumbs up

I would think it would also depend on how long the crystals are as well. If they hang low enough to not either obstruct the view of the person across, or to not be knocked into when standing near the table (this also depends on how big your table is). We had to raise our chandelier when the leaf was not in the table, making it seating 4 instead of 10, as we were always banging into it.--owch!
