Sorry, but it's going to be very difficult to get an online criminal record report free, and I agree with you, so many of the crime check websites on the web advertise criminal record report free but they say it's the "search" that is free - not the report

Although I do understand why some private companies charge for criminal record reports: It takes a lot of time and money to collect information from the various government offices in each state and then throughout the country, plus to sort and upload all the information ... It's quite a task.
Also, many people think that because criminal records are 'public' you should be able to get a criminal record report free. This is simply not true, even manual offline searches usually incur administration and labor fees.
In my work I require online criminal record reports on a frequent basis, and I prefer to use the private companies. The reason being that they extract their information from many different sources giving me a much better chance of complete and accurate information .
If had to try and do this by phone, car and foot it would take many hours and trips back and forward to government buildings waiting in queues to achieve something that would still be questionable as to the quality and completeness of the information. Plus I would most likely still have to pay an admin / copy fee for the reports.
Note :
If you do decide to do get a paid criminal record report then the criminal record website that you deal with should have a once-off fee that grants as many searches as you like, including a membership for the year. Plus many of these private websites include other types of searches as well: divorce records, property records, arrest records etc. Avoid Websites that charge for each individual search.
The website I use are Gov criminal record reports , from past experiences their reports are supplied fast and complete and they seem to have one of the greatest data bases of information.
