I use credit cards for as many independently owned stores as possible.  I believe cash is frequently pocketed and these small business owners are not paying income tax on cash they receive.  That means those of us who are taxed "up front" are stuck with the added tax burden of these merchants...I have a friend who owns a retail business.  He pays for everything with 50 or 100 dollar bills.  This is all income that has evaded the IRS.

We should have a credit/debit system that is equitable without encouraging over-spending.  Points should be a consideration in how to pay and not whether to buy.
