should you repair a cracked finish on a vintage guitar.the finish looks like cracked ice,but you ave to look close?

No.  Stripping the old finish and re-finishing will change the tone of the guitar, and squander the tone it took years to build.  Wooden acoustic instruments like guitars and violins improve their sound with age, and should be left just the way they are.
