Who do you think is "the couple" for the year 2008 ?
Actually, I think that you have it right exactly. Brad and Angelina are amazing. They are both so talented, and at the same time they are taking some of their millions and doing incredible things with that money. The neighborhood that they built for Katrina survivors is amazing. I think that most celebrities should be looking up to these two. Also, the fact that the adopted a baby the way they did, this is also admirable.

Brangelina will always be one of the couples most closely watched--they were in 2008 (did one or both of them or the entire family ever not appear on a cover of a magazine each week?) and will be in 2009. I also think Barack and Michelle Obama received a great deal of interest during the campaign throughout 2008 and will also be a couple to watch as they've already been covered extensively by the media for their ground-breaking campaign and victory. Throughout the past year, the media's fascination with them as the new "Camelot" couple, ala Jack and Jackie Kennedy, seems to have merited special attention for them and they were profiled often--on every aspect of their lives, from how Michelle wears her hair, her clothes, and what she does for fun and exercise (running on the treadmill at 4 AM? She's disciplined!) to Barack's preferences in food, sports, and struggles to give up cigarettes. And I'm not even touching on their more serious interests and work. People and the media have been fascinated by this couple, too. So the Obamas and Brangelina are the two I believe were "the couple(s)" of 2008 and I predict will be the most watched and receive the most interest in 2009.
I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.

Not me. Divorced 40 (that's forty) years. Separated 5 years before that. And, luvin' every min of it!!!
To be truthful, I don't keep up with many celebrities. The tabloids probably would say Will and Jedda Smith. I would not argue the point.
I agree Euphoricspy. It's True Will and Jada Smith by popular demand has made the #1 couple. While brad and Angie will always be a item it has been ruled that the Smith's have it this year.
