Rutland is the smallest county. It has a population of around 37,000. It has largest man-made lake in Europe. It gained independence from Leicestershire in 1997. It is the home to Sir Isaac Newton and Thomas Cook.

Clackmannanshire, situated in central Scotland and is approximately 160 km2 in size. is the smallest county in The UK whilst Rutland is the smallest county in England

NI, Ulster or six counties
