We have a hardwood foyer that is pale wood (not white but a dingy lite honey color that, through the 15 years since it was build just doesn't look as nice as it could. What can I do? The floors are so superficially in need of work that no one seems to know what to do; none of the boards are broken or warped; some of the boards have small areas of discoloration caused by improper chemicals used (the old owners used bleach on them once), the majority are just not shiny and clean looking no matter what I do or use?
Any suggestions other than ripping it all out and starting over?
