Coronary Heart disease (CHD) is a disease of the heart which affects the arteries, due to a buildup of plaques/fatty blobs leading to narrowing/clogging of the arteries. This can lead to chest pain, shortness of breath and a heart attack and death. Reasons could be many: family history, too much life stress,lack of exercise, poor diet, fatty diet, obesity, diabetes, High Blood pressure, High cholesterol, menopause, and smoking. Treatments include medications, heart bypass surgery, change in diet and more physical activity/exercise.
