Hi,

I suggest you hill up dirt around the roots; corn has a big root mass close to and on top of the soil and when we used to grow corn, we always had to go back and add soil to the roots of all the corn. I had a "hiller" attachment on my troy built tiller that did this nicely, but you can use a rake or another garden tool also. Try this and see if this helps; if its like all the corn we grew, this will make a world of difference. Mark Savage, certified master gardner % Savage Gardens, Lumberton, NC
