I can't provide legal advice or state a clear rule for all viral emails everywhere. However, I have found statements that forwarding an email may infringe on copyright. See

I would find some copyright lawyer websites and read the content. These attorneys tend to be on the cutting ground on intellectual property, copyright, and the internet.
