Cookie Monster on a Diet

Sesame Street will be recruited to teach kids about nutrition and eating healthy. This will include such weird half breeds, like the Cookie Monster eating celery (and other fruits and vegies)  rather than cookies.

How can they expect this to be meaningful when every commercial break has two or three food vendors pushing sugars and fats?

i love food... really any food

So people aren't becoming psycho and anorexic from a young enough age? Now we should have our 5-year-olds looking at their tummies in the mirror, from the side.  Are you serious?  C... is for Celery... Celery is for meeee... what, did the cookie monster turn green?  I thought that was Kermit.  What is the world coming to?

I'm not sure I agree with you, Judy. I think kids, maybe not all but at least some of them, know the difference between ads and programs. Letting the Cookie Monster eat celery is a bit ridiculous, I agree, but I think it's worth trying!

I think that this whole idea of having the cookie monster on a diet is stupid.  The cookie monster doesn;t just have to stop eating cookies.  You see the cookie monster can just change its eating habits without having to get rid of eating cookies.  The monster can simply just have two cookies after lunch and dinner with a glass of milk or juice. Mr.Cookie can also join a sport or do work out activities while still eating cookies yet he'll burn them off.  By him joining a sport or a gym class can give the children an interest to be active and not just stay home and watch tv and eat cookies or junk food all day.
