This article says that a baby bouncer shouldn't cause brain injury.  (I imagine that your doctor thinks that the bouncing could harm the brain and lower IQ.)  But the article also says that baby bouncers have risks, and might affect motor development.

Hell hath no fury like a SCORPIO woman scorned..!

that is really wierd.

both my children were in bouncers and they both maintain 3.5 gpa in school.  just ignore those little ticks...  haha, kidding, just kidding.  my oldest son (15) is in drumline competition, marching band competition, and jazz band competition.  also plays the piano.  my youngest plays the guitar and piano.  no affect at all from being in a bouncer.

ignore the doctor.  bouncers are safe, just make sure it's secure to the doorway.

There are horrible little people here. Watch out!

I'm no child psycologist, but my sister took a few classes and learned that if a child starts walking too soon, and doesn't spend an adequate amount of time crawling first, they are found to have a harder time in life with their 'reasoning' skills and making decisions!  So there may be something to what your Doctor told you, that up-right position and then bouncing on their feet before they have spent enough time crawling, may cause a baby future problems, even if only in a minute way.

Doctors have to learn and know so much about everything.. I would listen to him if I were you, even if you can't find it to read for yourself.. just to be on the safe side.  gezebel's kids are okay... except for that tick! ha!ha! That was funny.  Laughing  But not all kids develope the same.  Personally I wouldn't take any chances against my Doctors field of experties.   Take care.

Well thank you for your thought on my question,I will keep it in mind.

i think bcause if it is spending most of its time in a bouncer then it aint really learnin how to walk and build up its own strength becase the bouncer is always holding the baby up i dunno thats what i think x
