I've had three miscarriages and DH and I have been trying to concieve so desperately. I've now recently came across a doctor that's willing to keep a close eye on me while pregnant after my last M/C. The only problem is now is that I'm not successful. We've been trying again a month after my last M/C which was in past November. Still no luck. I've been charting and all. The doc says he doesn't think I need to take any meds or anything yet. I know it takes time to concieve but any pointers in concieving would help. Thanks.

Hi there,

Have you tried OPK's (Ovulation Predictor Kits)?  I bought some strips from earlypregnancytests.com for really cheap and the first month using them I got pregnant.

I have but I don't quite know how to read them being that their not accurate. cause the strips don't tell me when I ovulate for sure. It's just within the next 48 hours isn't it?

From what I have read on the internet it says that you "should" ovulate within 12-48 hours, 36 being the most common once you get a positive.  I myself tested twice a day.  You should not test in the AM as the LH takes time to get into your urine.  I would test at 1PM & 7PM just to make sure that I wouldn't miss my LH surge.  I am glad I did because had I not been testing 2 times a day I would have missed it that cycle.  I never did BBT but I understand that if you do that along with the OPK's, that can confirm whether or not you have ovulated.  I wish you all the luck and please keep me posted.  Try to remain positive and not stress over it all (I know it is easier said than done).  I will keep you in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to have taken so long to answer back. I've been trying to, but couldn't figure out how I did it the last time..(idiotic, I know). But back to this...Last month(Jan.-Feb.) I kinda gave up pn the whole TTC..it was too stressful for me to take mentally, but now I thibk I'm going to start the OPK's again, given last month into this month I was a week late and didn't do OPK's because I gave up . My flow since my M/C in Nov. '08 has been reg. I've a 31 day cycle...Dec. 26, 2008, January 26, 2008 it came faithfully, but this month it came a week late...and...I just got it today! Whew...I thought I had some other problems. Or ovulated late which I must've cause I was late. Now my quesition would be is my cycle still 31 days and if I'm still ovulating around the 9th till the 12th of the month? Should I start using opk's again? I was stressful for having faith in it the last time because I knew I ovulated cause the test line was darker than the control, DH and I Bded and was let down when I had my AF that month. But after this month with my flow late..should I use it to track my ovulating days again?? Thanks for everything and I apologize for this being so lengthy

No need to apologize :)  I am glad to hear back from you!  I would start testing with OPK's again.  If you are familiar with BBT I would do that along with the OPK's as that can give you a better idea of when exactly you ovulate.  I really hope and pray that you and your husband get the child you want.....please keep me posted on this!

I don't even know where to begin with the whole BBT thing..OPK's are enough for me..LOL... I'm not sure I'm mentally ready to do this beating on my head again, but I am going to do the OPK's because being the situation for last month, i'd still want to know at what days I ovulate. Just not gonna be so hopeful I guess. Thanks for everything. I'll definitely keep you posted.
