If you work on a computer cash register, shouldn't you be allowed a ten minute break every two or three hours? Staring at a computer screen is really hard on the eyes.
I'm not sure if it is written in the law but it seems like a very reasonable request from your employer. I believe it is in his best interest since your work's effectiveness is lowered after a few hours without a break. A short break can make all the difference in such situations.
