Insurance

A:

Hitting a pole is a Collision claim.  Comprehensive (also known as: Comp, Other Than Collission) is things such as: glass, fire, theft, vandalism, animals (deer, dogs, etc), hail storms, or other non-collision damages.

For more information you can go to InsuranceEasy.org at the bottom of their website there is a link for department of insurance for each state.  By clicking on your states department of insurance you will be able to find consumer publications that explain coverages, etc.
