This question is meant for all Yedda members who use the 'Comments' feature which is a part of the 'new and improved' Yedda.
I dislike this feature. It is my feeling that its drawbacks outweigh its benefits, since it often seems to be used as a means of putting others down or of causing their 'helpful' status to be damaged by making 'not helpful' comments to those whom the poster dislikes or with whom they disagree.
Nevertheless, Yedda staff insist that the Yeddai are using the 'Comments' feature in overwhelming numbers; leading staff to conclude that it is what the members want.
What I want to know is this: If you use 'Comments,' do you make a conscious and deliberate choice to use it? Or do you wind up using it because it is the first choice that comes up when you want to post a reply to an answer?
I suspect some of you may be among the latter, since you cannot simply 'Add Your Own Answer' without click click clicking your way through the tangled web that is now the new Yedda.
The option to add your own 'Comment,' however, is right there - requiring nothing more complicated than typing and submitting your response.
So, please think about it - and be honest.
If you use 'Comments' as a means of response is that because it was deliberately chosen? Or was the option just first in line - and thus more convenient?
Thank you for your time.
