Coming off contraceptive pill alert doctor?

im at university so its a couple months till i get to go home. i want to come off my pill (cilest) i have no need at present and am 100% sure my situation wont change so id like to give my body a break. as i cant see my doc yet do i need to give notice that i am stopping cilest or can i go back in december and say "well i came off my pill...." i know i need to finish a months packet to help regularity. but anything else? and will they want me to hand in unopened boxes etc.

I have gone off the pill before but never told my doctor. I don't think it's necessary to have to let them know. Keep the unopened packs for when you need to start taking them again. You never know when that may be and it's always good to have them just in case.
