Down Comforter for winter chill

Unfortunately winter is fast approaching and it getting very cold here. I want to buy a good Down Comforter, what is best, duck or goose Down Comforters and where is the best place to buy them?

Life is a one lap race. Make many pitstops.

Goose down is probably better but more important is the fill. The more feathers, the better the insulating value of the quilt. This will be expressed as the weight of the fill. The heavier, the better. If you can before you buy it, hold the quilt up to the light where you can see the feathers inside. They should be evenly distributed throughout the quilted area. If you see empty spots...don't buy it.

I agree with DubsVet, the best Down Comforter I ever bought was Pike Street King Down Comforter, you can get them in Queen and smaller but who want a smaller one, right? Incidently I bought mine at Amazon.com and I can vouch for the quality, they also have them a variety of colors to suit your bedroom.
