Comcast Speed, AOL Address Book & Favorites and Firefox...Can they co-exist?

I use Comcast for speed and AOL (which uses IE) for email, address book, favorites and browsing.  Can I keep my Comcast speed and AOL benefits but get RID of AOL (IE) browser and use Firefox?  I hate IE and AOL is always freezing or "not responding."  I want the best of all 3 worlds.
