College education or Street Smarts on Yedda

Not speaking personally, I think most people do not have formal education. This is not supposed to be a slight in any way. Just an observation.

I don't think that in most cases, where the questioner is asking for advice, that the level of education plays a role, it is more a case of most Yedda people being blessed with emotional intelligence and empathy that enables them to respond to most postings in an intelligent and insightful manner. Level of education, however, is important for responding to factual questions.

Street smarts is mostly a matter of environment. While I can be street smart in Long Island, NY, I may not be street smart in New York City. The entire environment and way of living is different from place to place. While it may be true that the basic characteristics of street smarts or the personalities of street smart people are the same everywhere, where you are makes a difference. There is a line from a Burt Reynolds movie where he says to someone, "It all depends which part of the country you are standing in as to just how dumb you are." You can be a genious in New York City, but put that genious person in Boise, Idaho and I'll bet he won't be as smart there. I think the people on Yedda are a mixture of both street smart and book smart. While facts in a book may provide a factual answer in theory, sometimes one with the actual life experience of street smarts is more in tune with the questions asked. Hope I answered your question.
