Coffee addiction

I can definitely say I'm a coffee addict. At least 6 cups a day. I'd like to kick off that habit, but am afraid of excessive eating instead. What shall I do?

I think the minute you start thinking about this, you're going to fulfill this fear, si I wouldn't even go with a partial limitation.

If you take cream and sugar, replace it with low fat milk and artificial sweeteners. I always thought caffeine is one of the safer addictions one can have.

You might want to consider drinking tea instead.  Although green tea does have caffeine in it you can look for ones which are low-caffeine.  Alternatively try some

red bush tea which is naturally caffeine-free.  It tastes great too and has loads of health benefits.

Try the suplement called

L-Arginin.  Take it before breakfeast and drink another hot beverage instead of your coffee.

You probably use coffee to keep you perked up or at least that is how it started.  learing how to eat properly will give you more energy and allow you to slowly decrease your intake.  Try switching from cow's milk to a soy milk or creamer  and start by decreasing one cup per week gradually and find other things to do.  check out this site to learn some eating habits that helped me eliminate coffee all together http://www.greattastenopain.com/cmdt.asp?id=849605
