Closure By His Apology

I was raped when I was 15 yrs old by my ex-boyfriend. I was a virgin. He told me not to say anything or he would hurt me and my family, so i didnt. He forced with to stay with him for 1 yr. after that. He also attempted to rape my older sister after our breakup. Im 42 yrs old now and I would like this man to apologize face to face for what he did to me. Can someone advise me on this situation plz?

I don't think it is a bad idea because it could be therapeutic for you as you hope. The question I would ask is how you could get him to apologize. The meeting could be extremely painful to you and you should consider that. Are you ready to take that chance?

Thank you for your support and answer. Yes, your right. It might be somewhat painful, maybe not, being that I haven't seen him since 1982. But, its a chance i'm willing to take. I want him to know that although, 27 yrs have gone by, i've never forgotten what he put me through. I would just hope to GOD, he never did it to anyone else. Thank you so much again!

I would just ask you to reconsider and think of the Greek story of Pandora's Box.
