Hi, I was wondering whether cleaning private data in browsers like IE or Firefox can really solve problems like slow browsing or is it just another old "myth" ?

No it can't! the speed of internet always depend on the large amount of bandwidth...

It can in a sense, if you have a website saved, that has changed its content to use less resources or things you have to download such as images, then clearing your cached version will load the new one faster. Other then that, pretty much not.
