Do 1967 chevrolet chevelle bucket seats have metal or plasic backs

There's a wide metal ring around the seatback but the back is plastic.
They are a plastic composite. If you look under Skylark or Lemans, the prices will be less than Chevelle parts, and they are the same. Check out year one and belair bobs, they are both top notch dealers!
I am under the understanding that the origional backs were actually metal.
The Seat Is Both Metal And Plastic.
