This past Christmas I got music from indie rap artist producer Jair Dynast. My best friend knows that I never follow what mass media pushes out so she always likes to get me new music that is still under the radar.  In 2006 she gave music from Talib Kweli and this year he's finally getting mainstream attention.  I heard that he's #2 on top 200 Billboard charts.  Solid evidence that positive rap has value to the consumer and will sell as well as the negative/gangsta rap.  Can't wait to see who she gets me for 2008 Christmas.
