Why do the Christians of today misuse the BIble? Have they forgotten or did they never understand its purpose? It seems that the majority of Christians today think that the Bible was intended to judge and persecute.
Why are these so-called Christians so resistent to Christ's teachings? It is as if the muddle of man's perceptions in this area have reverted back to the rut that history has shown man always gets into when it comes to understandiong God? Again we need another Patriarch like Abraham, Jesus or Homer to rexplain and clarify! Is it because they have plugged thier ears to the other parts of the puzzle?
It is common knowledge that Sargon and Zisudra, Leto, Odysseus, Chiron and Minos have all had written accounts of their lives centuries prior to Abraham. These stories are attibuted to the human perspective of the inherited memories of all peoples.
In the time before Abraham, man lived in a frightening world, where Man itself was not the focus of religions. Instead the primordial concepts of vast pantheons of Gods. This is how Man's mind made sense of the world around him. The myths that are told before Abraham are only concerned with the lives of these Gods, they do not concern the affairs of men. In this time when man thought in this way, it was the way we projected our subconcious reality. No limits was man's perception and very vulnerable to the world.
As man began to formulate a more concious awareness of his world, the majority of his co-inhabitants were amok in the frightful worship of these so-called dieties (but really these were just the collective subconciousness of the race making sense of a very dangerous world). The time was wrought with strange cults that committed unspeakable acts. If the tide turned against you, you felt you had somehow angered the Gods, to appease them they would do whatever, sacrafice their children, a common activity because they were considered to be the most prized of possesions and thus defining true sacrafice.
Abraham was a revolutionary who saw this practice as for what it was, foolish and sick. The fact that his story was percieved in the myths (Man's Collective Subconcious) centuries before he walked the earth, shows that man's mind is capable of formulating its own reality. A dangerous thing if not understood by the masses. But prophetic nonetheless like the dream state.
Just as centuries before Jesus, man's perception could forsee his arrival. In fact the names i mentioned above are all Mythological 'prophecies' if you will of the very charachters whose stories are retold in the Bible. Not to say that none of these people existed, they are as real as the others that preceeded them.
What i am saying is that thier mark on the world was related back to these ancient peoples by the priests and rabbis through the already familliar traditional tales. The borrowing of the older myths is quite obvious throughout the bible. Especially Greek ones, which were the most well known and ancient.
The purpose of this was to redefine their meanings as they were so completely misinterpreted. So although the heros of the bible were real, their stories are given to us as known myths, repackaged so that they were not misunderstood again.
The New testament is another example of this, Jesus came to set straight the misinterpretations of the earlier testament. The saddest and surprising thing is that a couple of millenia later we are again in need of clarification. We have again run amok with misguided interpretation.
Like the polythesism and then the pre-Christ Leviticism, we are again killing people in the name of short sighted perception. Worse now is that we are wholly conscious of it. Like medieval europe, people don't even bother to listen to any other perspectives of the universe, they are quite literally sticking thier fingers in their ears. They view science as a nemesis out to confuse, forgetting that science was appointed the task of delivering us a better understanding of God.
Science too have forgotten the reasons for their pursuit, to understand the true nature of God. If everyone could remember the message of Christ: that the whole of humanity is stemmed from but one source, we are all brothers and therefore everyones perspective is invaluable because it gives us the complete picture. Those who wish to make determinations knowing only a fragment of the truth are simply unequipped to speak for God.
The other perspectives are all pieces, like the biblical epoch, to the picture of truth! These other views are not meant to replace your own beliefs, but to enhance them!
For the truth seekers: The names above are equated to the following biblical epochs:
Sargon - Moses
Zisudra - Noah
Leto - Mary
Odysseus - The Gospel of Mark (written in Greek)
Chiron - Jesus Christ
Minos - Abraham
You will note that each of those names are of men not Gods. Save for Chiron!
