No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.

As you can imagine, this is a very controversial question. According to various sources, Christ walked the earth for 34 years. He would have been born in 4 B.C (keep in mind that you must add one year to compensate for no year “zero”), and his crucifixion took place in the year A.D. 31. Christ’s crucifixion took place on Passover day, the 14th of Nisan, the first month in God’s Sacred Calendar.

"What does it profit a man to gain the world if he loses his soul?"

if you believe he arose from the dead and continued preaching, I'd say add on another few more years

Thank you for your question.

I want to first identify who I am speaking of when I talk about "The Christ". I am speaking of the person the Christian Bible, and specifically and only the New Testament, identifies as "Jesus of Nazareth" and "Jesus Christ (or "the Christ"). This is He of whom the Bible declares as being conceived by the "Holy Spirit" in a miraculous and sexless act in the body of a girl named Mary, a conception which the Bible reports as being foretold to Mary by an angel of God.

There is no direct statement in the Bible as to Jesus' age at death and no direct statement as to the date of His birth in any calendar form. However, educated guesses as to these things are derived, by scholars, from descriptions of known historical characters and events in the Bible.

In light of the above I am comfortable with most guesses that His age at death was from 34 to 36 years and that His Biblical ministry was about 3 1/2 years.

For more information concerning the scholarship of dating these things may I direct you to the following Internet address:

I am in no way affiliated with the above-referenced site or organization.
