What Would You Do If Christ Returns Today?

Would  you  be  ready  if  Christ  returns?  Are you   getting  ready ?  Or  do  you  think  that  this  is  all  a bunch of  lies?  Look  in the Bible rumours  of  Wars ,  Look  in the Bible of  tales of  diseases (Swine flu, small pox, aids, Sars) Look  people  are  killing  each other , Are  we living  in the  last  days ?  If   a  guy  came  to your  door   And it  was  Jesus , Would  you  invite him  in  to your home?

Washing one's hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral.

-Paulo Freire

I think it's a bunch of lies. It's human nature to have war, to fight, and even kill. Why do you think the 10 commandments say 'thou shall not kill'. As for diseases, they have been here since the dawn of time. They're getting stronger because our systems are getting stronger. Now in our time we can even fight off diseases whereas the Black Plague killed a large population of Europe.

Another thing, it's human nature for the mind to think in puzzles. We're always trying to see how something relates to another thing. It is no doubt that many have started doing this in relation to their bibles, testaments and Nostradamus was a genius in my opinion, but even they can be misunderstood or wrong themselves.

If Jesus were to ‘come back’ I would invite him into my home. As of now though, I don’t think he is coming back so I wouldn’t invite anyone who claimed to be Jesus to come into my home.

Undertaker; He will first come to call HIS OWN THE DEAD FIRST THEN WE WHO ARESTILL ALIVE; But the coming I believe you  are talking about is His touching down where he lifted up to heaven! and in that case I will be with Him/ well I reads on one of your answers to your question by midnight poison; that First he doesn't believe , then he would let Him IN THEN HE DOESN'T BELIEVE HE WILL SO He WON'T LET ANYBODY IN,well  He won't be knocking then, as He is Knocking now!  then IT will be too late for those who choose to hang around because they can not give up the worldly life for the eternal life; they have no Idea what they will be missing!

I'm not a Christian, but if Jesus came back, sure I'd invite him into my home. I have no fear of my soul and I have no doubt it would be a fascinating conversation.

A penny saved  is a penny earned

Hi undertaker to answer your question --which is a good one. Yes i do consider my self as a christian and i live by the 10 commandments. I love reading god's word from the bible kjv. And believe in my heart and mind that it is truthful. I have not always been a christian, altho i believed in god, just didn't live as good as i do now. I cannot say that it is wrong or it is right exactly about when jesus is coming back or when, but i believe in the bible and i believe what it says, but man does not know when... But i do belive jesus is coming back. Would i be ready, sure i stay ready, what a blessing to be with no more pain in my body and have lo0ve all around me. Jesus knocking at my door and would i invite him in....Jesus comes to my house everyday, i don't see jesus when he is visiting me. I9 see him in a picture on my wall.. But i know he is there guiding me to what i read out of the bible. Jesus keeps his loving arms arounnd me all the time. Jesus is the best love i have ever had, and is my best friend and am looking forward to the day i see him while we have our talks, amen god bless nanadee

Nandee,

Your posts indicate you DO NOT LIVE BY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. You are one of the self-righteous ones who judge everyone else and don't see their own errors. Judging and self-righteousness are both sins. DUH! When Christ comes, he will get back on the cross and start over when it comes to you. LOL.

MY FUR BABIES MAX AND SHILOHWink

God did not give me the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  11Timothy 1:7

I would invite Him in, wrap my arms around His neck and tell Him I am so glad He came for me.  This old world is wearing me down, I get homesick some times for my new home.

Undertaker, our sufferings makes us strong.  Hang on!  It won't be over till we see Him sitting on that white horse in the eastern skies.  We all suffer.  I have suffered through a near death experience, and Jesus let me know He was in my hospital room.  He is very welcome to come into my house.  I truly love my Lord.

Amen mommasgirl! And a very good question, Undertaker.

I would like to think that I would invite Jesus into my home - but even being a Christian - I think that I probably would not.

People come to my door all the time for one reason or another. I do not invite people who are dirty and unkempt into my home. I do not allow lawyers into my home and I do not invite other people's children into my home.

Am I any less Christian because of that?

Now if someone comes to my door and needs my help. I will put them in my car, take them wherever they need to go and share with them any small amount of money I might have - but I would not invite them into my home.

I am just being honest.

I guess, in a sense, I invite anyone and everyone into my heart - just not into my home.
