Chris Allport is the third casualty of the California snowstorm. Could his death have been avoided in any way?
It seems such a loss.
I don't see what he could have done.
He was in good shape and a good skier, and nature just got the better of him.
It is sad, not just because of him, but for everybody who was lost.

He could have done something about it but then he wouldn't be the person he is. When taking part in extreme sports one knows there is a certain risk you're taking. Not everything that happens during outdoor sports is in your control and accepting that is part of the game.
It's not like playing tennis.
