China's Children Population

How it is acceptable in today's modern world, that Chinese people can only have 1 child? How is it possible that people are accepting an intrusion into their own private lives and are not uprising and objecting in some sort?

there is a lot of misunderstanding abroad for Chinese culture and thinking, I am not pretending to be an expert, but I have friends there, and lived in China for three years.

Chinese see the limitation as painful but necessity of life, they are 1.3 or 1.4 Billion people, they know they cannot grow and grow, as the resources have limits.

If they want to feed everyone they need to control the population.

They managed now to control the growth, and they look at India, which is growing now faster, without any control.

At the time of the culture revolution Mao encouraged many kids, and at that time the growth rate was sharp, and they managed to reverse his decision only when he died.

By the way the limitation have other affects, like spoiled single child and aging population (more old people)
