why isnt daycare centers recognized by new york state education dept
Because they are day care centers, not Universal Preschools. The state does fund UPK programs for 4-year-olds. Is it that you want the state to fund the day care centers so parents do not have to pay for child care?
Day care centers do not require any curriculum as a school would be. There is no educational requirement to become a day care worker that is as advanced as a teaching degree.
